David Wippich serves as vice president, global cloud of Ingram Micro Inc, the world’s largest technology distributor and supply-chain services provider based in Irvine, California. As a member of the global cloud management team, David is responsible for technology platforms, market development, and strategy to enable MSPs and Large Enterprises.
David is a hands on technology and market development leader with nearly thirty years of experience at international companies. Before joining Ingram Micro, he served as CEO and CTO of Ensim Corporation (acquired by Ingram Micro June 2016) a leading provider of solutions to automate, orchestrate, and monetize cloud and datacenter based applications and services for MSPs and Enterprises. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer at Active ISP (AISP), one of Europe’s largest hosting service providers pioneering Microsoft based services on a highly scalable pan-European platform. Previously he was Executive Vice President at ConnectInc.com (CNKT), a high-volume e-commerce platform provider serving complex business to business trading networks for Global 2000 companies.
In addition, David was Vice President and General Manager for the Internet and Embedded Products Division of Phoenix Technologies (PTEC) and Award Software (AWRD) (acquired by Phoenix) focused on BIOS, Firmware, System on a Chip, and Web-based thin client technologies. He also held a variety of senior management positions in the early days of Acer.
David attended Stanford University and Southern Oregon University.
